Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. Her professional name is Aurora. Her name can be spelled in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 and received great reviews from both music bloggers and the media. Half the World Away - by Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole - are already two covers worth noting that the singer has created. Katy Perry posted a video that she supported Runaway. This brought her some recognition. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memory involves finding a small piano hidden in the basement and bewildered by the sound it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes advised her to use music for personal growth, rather than for the purpose of making a living or an interest. So she started writing her own songs. In addition to Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. She decided to start performing her songs publicly when her mother said they could help people not gain acclaim for her music, but rather to help people see around them realize their importance and the ways they impact the world. She began playing the piano at the age of six, and began writing music at age nine. This was not known to her family until she reached the age of fourteen. There was no way she could have imagined to become Aurora. Her only passion is writing music. She claims that music is her preferred method of feeling anything.
