Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She has been widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of eyewitness testimony and child witnesses within legal contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific author, has won several awards and grants. She has advised numerous administrations and agencies across the globe on policies and studies pertaining to child victims by the legal system. She acts as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 57). Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
